Hundred-Fourteenth
Surah
In the name of God, the Ever
Graceful, the Most Merciful:
God says
Say: “: I seek
refuge with the Sustainer of mankind, (1)
“the Sovereign
of mankind, (2)
“the God of
mankind, (3)
“from the evil
of the whispering, elusive tempter (4)
“who whispers in
the hearts of men, (5)
“from all
[temptation to evil by] invisible forces as well as men.” (6)
Prophet said
Ibn-e-‘Amir
reported that the holy Prophet told him: “People seek refuge of God. Should I tell you the best way?” He said: Please
do. The Prophet said, “QUL A’OOZU BI RABBIL FALAQ* and QUL A’OOZU BI RABBIN NAAS.” -- H: Ahmed.

Aqbah-b-‘Amir
reported: I was on a journey with the Messenger of God when suddenly we were
caught by a severe wind storm and it became very dark. The Messenger of God
began seeking God’s refuge reciting the two (last) surah* and said: “Aqbah! You
also recite these because there has not been a better way’ -- H: Abu Daod.
